Introduction:

Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a scientific technique in molecular biology to amplify a single ora few copies of a piece of DNA across several orders of magnitude, generating thousands to millionscopies of a particular DNA sequence. PCR is now a common and often indispensable techniqueused in medical and biological research labs that are working with DNA and RNA. Because of thehigh copy number generated during PCR, it is essential to prevent possible contamination of thePCR reaction.

PCR Cabinet is an equipment that provides a partial clean air environment, its air flow is vertical. UVis effectively utilized in this cabinet. Downflow clean air protects against contamination by bathing thePCR apparatus in sterile air and sterile air and limiting risk of contamination from the operator’sarms, or from any equipment brought into the otherwise sterile environment. A positive pressureensures that there is no ingress of airborne contaminants from the surrounding laboratoryenvironment. Toughened glass windows offer exceptionally clear all round vision and do not allowtransmission of UV.
