Materials & Construction

Traditional face frame construction using selected birch wood

Face frames are solid 3/4 inch thick with 1 1/2 inches stiles and rails

Joints are mortise and tenon

Sides are birch veneered 1/2 inch plywood

The interior features a clear coat finish, and the exterior is finished to match the door selection

Shelves are 5/8 inch thick birch veneered plywood sealed with a clear coat, adjustable and front edge banded

Backs are 1/2 inch thick, about 1/4 inch rabbet inserted into the cabinet sides

Drawers

Made of 5/8 inch thick solid, hard wood

Dovetailed in each corner and clear coated

Bottoms are 1/4 inch birch plywood, fully captured

Slides are under-mounted, full-extension soft close

Drawer fronts are full overlay, five piece construction

Doors

Mortise and tenon

Doors are full overlay with applied molding

Stiles and rails are 2 inches wide

Raised center panel is solid wood

Finish

Catalyzed conversion varnish top coat with UV protection is applied to doors, drawers, and face frames by mechanical application

UV water-based finish is roll coated on the end panels

Glazing is applied to the doors and drawer fronts
